We are a family of six who enjoy traveling. Most of our extended family live a good distance from us and we find ourselves traveling often to go see them. Our kids enjoy breaks to get out of the van and stretch their legs on long road trips (as all kids do) so we try to find things along the way that will interest them. Even better yet - something educational!
This is our blog highlighting many of the trips we've taken over the years. It is a way for our extended family to see what we're up to on the road and a way for us to share with all of you the many places we've enjoyed visiting - and hopefully you will too!
Three of us are contributing authors on this blog - Les (dad), Jennifer (mom), and Niki (our oldest child). We tend to post once a week when we're not on a trip or everyday when we are on a trip. If you're interested in receiving our latest posts, please subscribe to our blog in the navigation bar.
We write about travel with kids: such as packing for trips, keeping kids occupied while traveling, supplies we use most often, places of interest, and types of transportation we've used with our kids. We also write about activities we do while at home preparing for an upcoming trip or relating to history and geography. These activities can be done with you and your kids in your home as well.
Les is a pilot and this provides us with lots of opportunities to see the world. I am a teacher and love to sneak in educational moments whenever possible. Together we love to explore the world around us with our four kids and learn about different cultures, ecosystems, and the present & past that has shaped the area.
