We arrived in Ireland today and are currently in a beautiful castle. I'm down in one of the lounges where there's free Internet. (The Wi-Fi won't penetrate the walls upstairs so I'm down here on my laptop drinking a Bailey's coffee.) I don't have all of my pictures from Warwick Castle downloaded on my computer (I thought I did) so I'll have to post more tomorrow or with our Grand Finale Slideshow with audio commentary.
We spent the day at Warwick Castle for Zach's 8th birthday. Before we had even bought our tickets to enter, the boys saw other boys with polyfoam swords and shields. Commence begging. To their shock and amazement, I brought them over to the gift shop a few feet away from us and let them get decked out to be knights before entering the castle. I told them it was for Zach's birthday.
The second we walked out of the gift shop, the battle began. (No sympathy for their sister the princess either.) I have video of it and will edit it as soon as we get back home and post it on the blog.
Here's a quick post for tonight and I'll elaborate more later.
The peacock is distracting them. The second round of battles is about to begin.

Did you know that peacocks sound like a cross between a cat and a monkey when they call out to each other? We found this out while were at the castle.

Basically, this is how all the battles went between the boys and Zachary: They decided they had to protect the princess (their sister) from this stranger knight (Zachary). Poor Zachary.
